It helps to correct excessive external and internal rotation and over pronation and supination at the ankle joint. It helps to provide control of foot posture during rest. Immobilising the ankle and foot at rest may be useful in the case of sprains and fracture rehabilitation by eliminating excessive movement and stabilizing the ankle during rest. FURTHER INFORMATION
